Downtown Alive! Welcomes Los Texmaniacs, Friday, October 27th.
Lafayette, La. – Downtown Alive! (DTA!) welcomes Los Texmaniacs at Parc Sans Souci, on October 27th. Grammy Award winners, Los Texmaniacs are the new kings of Tex-Mex. Anointed by Flaco Jimenez , Los Texmaniacs feed the masses, with only the best in musical fare. Founded by Max Baca (bajo sexto, vocals), the Texmaniacs are aproduct of his wide-ranging experience touring and recording with Flaco Jimenenz, the original Texas Tornados, Los Super Seven and even the Rolling Stones.
The party starts at 5 p.m. as DTA! hosts Lafayette’s Happiest Hour. This week’s DTA!
Happiest Hour is hosted by Tsunami Sushi from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m and they’ll be offering
specialty drink, The Haiku, to thirsty patrons. The Downtown Alive! “Official After Party” kicks off at Tsunami Sushi immediately following DTA!.
We continue the new addition of the DTA! Manger food scene where hungry
concertgoers can expect another lineup of local favorites. This week features a variety of food vendors including Acadiana Superette and C’est Bon Manger.
DTA!kids begins at 5:30 p.m, provided by the Lafayette Science Museum with fun
scientific activities and MLR Magic showcasing their animal character balloons and
face-painting. Bring the family to enjoy a great outdoor event suitable for kids of any
age.
As a reminder – DTA! is funded through drink sales, so please leave your outside drinks at the bar. Smoking and pets are not allowed to encourage a safe and family-friendly
event for all.
